On a fateful day for Spanish tennis where they have been defeated Pablo Andujar, Albert Montanes and Ruben Ramirez only Guillermo Garcia-Lopez has survived more than four hours of battle against Frenchman Roger-Vasellin.
The Spanish victory has come only after the marathon match played between Guillermo Garcia-Lopez and Roger Vasellin, Spanish has gotten imposed by 6-7,6-3,7-6,5-7,10-8. The fighting was characterized by the many twists and turns where either player had been able to win. First, the French tennis player has had a chance to win the match several times, mainly in the fifth set where it has become a lead break, but has been the Spanish tennis player who has managed to impose in the moments critical of the crash.
